You have selected Rooted in Culture.
Time: 9am - 12:30pm
Rooted in Culture Wednesdays is a vibrant experience where students explore African and Diaspora heritage through language, music, and dialogue. Grades 6+ engage in African Studies through an Indaba—discussion, stories, and research on African history and the Diaspora. Grades K–5 explore this history through music. Families may choose Spanish instead of African Studies. Each Wednesday ends with our joyful Kreyòl Kilti Festival, a celebration of Haitian Creole language, food, music, and culture.
