Dessalines STEAM Academy

We are a proud Member of the National Microschooling Center. Providing the best education with a personalized approach.

Dessalines S.T.E.A.M Academy is a Microschool serving the Southshore of Massachusetts. We provide a more personalized and innovative experience centered on STEM and the histories of our communities. Jean-Jacques Dessalines was a Haitian revolutionary, and we embody that spirit of knowledge, ingenuity, independence, and liberation all wrapped up in Agape love for the community.

The distinct mission of Dessalines S.T.E.A.M Academy is to instill a passion for S.T.E.A.M innovation, a love of self and community, and the aptitude to lead.  We do this by creating student-centered community-rooted learning environments where leading for community advancement and learning from our community elders are integral components of our educational approach. At Dessalines, our scholars not only gain an appreciation for their rich histories and contributions, but also sharpen their analytical abilities, expand their understanding of engineering and scientific principles, and fortify their capacity for innovation to emerge as leaders in S.T.E.A.M fields.

Come join us for full-day in-person educational services for students who disenroll from public or private schools. Half-day and hybrid options are also available. Students can take their Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) courses with us, their Humanities courses with us, or both. Contact us for more information.
