Day: Monday Time: 8:30am - 2:30pm
Create and Connect Mondays are all about joyful learning, creative exploration, and building strong bonds through shared experiences. In the morning, students begin with play and then participate in Art and Djembe Drumming, while building friendships. Students then eat together and enjoy a mental break before joining the afternoon activities.
After a shared lunch and some well-deserved downtime to recharge, K -5 students regroup for afternoon Maker Space and community-building activities—ranging from arts and crafts to STEM challenges, music circles, or outdoor games, all designed to nurture connection and self-expression. Older students join Teen Talk, a collaborative space for open conversation, creativity, and connection. It is a powerful time where teens express themselves and connect through writing and the arts - storytelling, improv, poetry, music, songwriting, and podcasting.
